A unique and practical approach to birth preparation for pregnant women (25 weeks plus) and their partners. £54 per couple.
The Yoga Village Birth Rehearsal birth
“I found that on the labour day my husband was really in tune with what I needed and I know that was formed during the class – like we started working together in a new way” Claire
At the workshop you will practice a range of practical tools, most not covered in other birth preparation classes, to ease the birth and also the transition to parenthood.
In the workshop you’ll practice and learn to:-
- breathe through contractions,
- discover coping skills
- use birthing positions
- move in ways that assist birth
- use a birthing ball effectively
- try massages for labour
- use visualisations
- discover alternative ways to help with labour sensations
- discover how these all integrate with each other to provide a powerful set of tools that can be personalised to suit your unique needs and experience.
- AND come together as a couple to prepare for your baby’s arrival together
Our workshop is practical, unique and helpful.
The workshops offer a practical, hands-on approach which allows labouring women and their birth partners to explore (and most importantly practice!) various techniques that together provide powerful support and coping strategies. There is little sitting around and more emphasis on “doing” together – so that being in labour is easier and becoming parents becomes an easier transition.
If you’ve been practicing yoga in your pregnancy develop the practices as practical tools for labour with the support of your partner. If you are new to yoga you’ll be fine as you won’t need any experience.
